In order to build a shark model for my vfx short I first have to learn to digitally sculpt. No small task. This is my first attempt ever digital sculpt using ZBrush:

Rocket Launcher – Procedural Animation in Houdini
I am learning how to drive Houdini. It is a awesome application. This rocket launcher (a Digital tutors tutorial) only took a few hours of effort. There are supposed to be a lot more rockets being fired – but my iMac kept crashing whilst doing the rendering – the volume rendering for the smoke trails is very computationally expensive. I had to reduce the number of rockets to get the render to finish; it still took several hours.
